Need some advice from breeders, or very experienced dog owners?

If you are serious about breeding in the future, you should start attending some dog shows and meet some of the Siberian Husky breeders. Once you get to know the breeders and the breed, you will know which breeders has the dogs that most represent the breed standard. Talk to those breeders and tell them that you want to learn all you can about the breed and about the proper breeding of the Siberian Husky. Tell them what you told us, that you have money saved, that you are not planning on breeding for profit and that you are wanting to breed because you love the breed and want to always breed with the objective of improving the breed. Hopefully one of these top breeders would become your mentor and provide the contacts and expertise to help you get started. While you are learning, you might want to actually purchase a show quality Husky and learn to show your dog. This would help you get even more involved in the show world which is the place to be for most reputable breeders.
